Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of December 11, 2017.
HCM171211.01 - Updates to GMS HCM Form(s)
The following three forms have been updated (including direct links):
- GMS HCM Role Change Request Form (Manager, Department Administrator, HR Contact, or Timekeeper)
- GMS HCM Role Change Request Form (All Other HCM Roles)
- GMS Supervisory Organization Change Request Form
All three forms have been updated to remove of outdated instructions or GU Wiki references. Both versions of the GMS Role Change Request Form have been updated to include a new section (now Section 2) has been added to provide a brief business justification. Lastly, the GMS Role Change Request Form (All Other HCM Roles) has also been updated to include a new line for OSFS Dean signature in Section 4.
Going forward please be sure to submit the new version of the forms when completing role change requests; please be sure to check out the GMS Forms page to download the new versions of the forms, or follow the direct links noted above.
HCM171211.02 - W-2 Paper Copy Opt Out:
Beginning with the 2017 tax year, employees may opt out of receiving a paper copy of their W-2. Please refer to the communication sent by Payroll Services, which includes the IRS required disclose details along with instructions on how to enter your election in GMS.
FIN171211.01 - GU Find Journal Lines report
The GU Find Journal Lines report has been updated to include the Cost Center Hierarchy (Campus, School, Dept, Div) which will allow for better analysis and summarization.
