What’s New in GMS – October 1, 2018

Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of October 1, 2018.  

HCM Update

HCM181001.01 – GU Position Restrictions Details Report Update

Impacted Roles: Academic HR Partner, CFO, Compensation Analyst, Department Administrator, Employment and Recruitment Specialist, Finance Partner, GU-HR Institutional Reporting, HR Contact, IDEAA Administrator, Institutional Reporting

The GU Position Restrictions Details Report has been updated to include the position vacated date for vacant positions.  If the position is vacant the report returns the last day the position restriction was occupied by a worker.


HCM181001.02 – Correct Time Off Business Process

Impacted Roles: Manager, Primary Manager

The action based notifications prompting the primary manager to log into GMS to review/approve a time off correction request has been updated to route to the primary manager only.  Previously, managers of additional jobs were receiving these notifications. Managers of additional jobs will continue to receive the notification that the time off correction has been approved.


HCM181001.03 – Hoya Staffing Update

Impacted Roles: Hoya HR Contact

The Hoya HR Contact will now receive notifications when the following business processes have been completed for Hoya Staffing employees:

  • Add Additional Job
  • End Additional Job
  • Change Organization Assignments for Worker
  • Assign Costing Allocation

These notifications will ensure that Hoya Staffing is informed of updates to the temporary worker’s additional jobs.
