GMS Tip of the Week – February 26, 2018

ROLE022618
Did you know?
The Manager and Timekeeper roles should not be the same person for a Supervisory Organization. This is because the Timekeeper is the only role other than Manager that can review and approve timesheets and is intended to function as a backup for the Manager to ensure timely timesheet review and approval. If the Manager and Timekeeper is the same person, then there is no backup for timesheet approval and could lead to delays in pay for hourly workers.
What SHOULD you do?
When submitting a role request to assign a Timekeeper, check to make sure they are not also the Manager of the supervisory organization they are being assigned to. The Roles for an organization can be viewed by navigating to the Roles tab for the Supervisory Organization.
