Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of May 28, 2019.

Financials Update

FIN190528.01 – FY20 Fiscal Close Calendar Available

FY20 Fiscal Close Calendar is available. Please note that the closing dates for GL periods July, August and September are earlier than in past years, and departments should plan accordingly. The FY20 close schedule has been added to Fiscal Close – GMS Financials Google Calendar. Instructions for subscribing to the Google calendar are available at the Financial Affairs website.

FIN190528.02 – Updates to GU Find Supplier Invoices

GU Find Supplier Invoices report has a new prompt for Spend Categories.

FIN190528.03 – Updates to GU Find Expense Reports

Updates to GU Find Expense Reports report include new prompt filters to better identify transactions. Prompts include an Awaiting Action check box which will allow the user to see expense reports awaiting action. There is also a Grant Related Checkbox which identifies expense reports that have a grant worktag.

FIN190528.04 – Auto Asset Tracking for GU-Q Disabled

Impacted Roles: GU-SFS-Q Business Asset Accountant

Automatic asset tracking based on supplier invoices has been disabled for GU-Q (per request).
