What’s New in GMS – May 29, 2018

Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of May 29, 2018.

HCM Update

HCM180529.01 – Updated My Candidates Report

Impacted Roles: Academic HR Partner, Department Administrator, Employment and Recruitment Specialist, HR Contact, Primary Recruiter

The underlying data source for the My Candidates report has been improved. Users can now see better information about the Candidates for the Job Requisitions in their area. The My Candidates report gives information about the Candidate and the Job Requisition for which they applied. The report also gives information on how the candidate found the job.

HCM180529.02 – New HCM Reports I Can Run Worklet

Impacted Roles: All Users

A companion report to the Financials Reports I Can Run has been deployed for HCM users. The HCM Reports I Can Run worklet can be added to user’s GMS Homepage and will display all of the HCM based custom reports that the current user has access to run. The worklet will also give a brief description and the list of other roles that can run the report. The Employee Quick Reference Guide (pg. 7) provides additional information on how to configure Worklets on the GMS Home Page.

HCM180529.03 – FY19 Payroll Calendars Available

Impacted Roles: All Users

The Payroll and New Hire Calendars for fiscal year 2019 are now available. Please visit the Payroll Calendar section of the GMS website to view the FY19 Payroll and New Hire calendars.

HCM180529.04 – Updated GU Position Restrictions Details and My Job Requisitions Reports

Impacted Roles: Academic HR Partner, Department Administrator, Employment and Recruitment Specialist, HR Contact, Primary Recruiter, CFO, Finance Partner, GU HR Institutional Reporting, Institutional Reporting, Compensation Analyst, GU Budget Analyst, GU Campus Budget Officer GU Senior Business Manager, Manager

The Total Annualized Job Requisition Compensation Amount for Effective Job Requisitions has been added to both the GU Position Restrictions Details and My Job Requisitions reports. This will help users find and analyze the Job Requisitions Amounts for Open Positions.

Finance update

FIN180529.01 – Updated GU Find in Progress Journals Report

Impacted Roles: Cost Center Manager, GU-Campus Financial Reporter, GU-Finance CFO, GU-Finance Institutional Reporting, GU-Financial Reporter, GU-Financial Reviewer, GU-Senior Business Manager

The GU Find In Progress Journals report has been updated to display actual journal lines instead of the business process transaction. The report shows only In Progress journals and can be used to help get journals approved before the monthly close period. The report displays journal lines based on Cost Center security.
