Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of April 28, 2023.

HCM Updates

Impacted Roles: Manager, I-9 Analyst

Update to the business process email notifications for Complete I-9. Notifications now include the updated language from UHR, with instructions on how to finalize the I-9 process.

Based on announcement from Ranit Mishouri and Tony Kinslow on April 12, 2023, the COVID-19 vaccination requirement has changed and an update to the onboarding notifications was completed, per UHR’s direction.

Impacted Roles: HR Contact, Department Administrator, Academic HR Partner

New critical alert on the Compensation step for the Create Position business process, Assign Pay Group step on the Create Position business process, and the Compensation step on the Job Requisition business process, which requires the pay group and frequency for administrative positions to be bi-weekly.

Updated the faculty leave process to allow faculty to apply for Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) leave and Unpaid Leave through the Faculty Research Leave portal.

Enabled Utah and Indiana as states in the ESS state taxation process.

Impacted Roles: HR Contact, Department Administrator

New validation on the Change Organization Assignments, Edit Position Restrictions and Create Position business processes. If the worker type is contingent worker and a professional designation of AAP is entered on the Change Organization Assignments step, the initiator will receive a critical alert.

The Job Family Group of the delegator has been added to the report: GU Current Delegations Report by Organization to assist when reviewing current delegations.

Impacted Role: HR Contact

The HR Contact role now has the ability to cancel in progress Change Job business processes.
