What’s New in GMS – March 30, 2023

Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of March 30, 2023.
Workday’s semi-annual release of new features went live on March 11. This Workday release delivered several enhancements to GMS. For more details about these changes, please refer to the Employee Quick Reference Guide (new window) for more details.
The data feed from GMS to Georgetown’s Identity Management system now includes Mobile Number on the employee’s contact information in GMS. This is intended for use in real-time emergency alert notifications through Switchnet.

Impacted Roles: HR Contact, Compensation Analyst, Finance Partner, CFO
Initiators and approvers are no longer able to deny hires or change job business processes, which will prevent issues with correcting job requisitions. If a hire or change job is incorrect, please send it back or cancel the business process.
Impacted Roles: HR Contact, Academic HR Partner, Student Employment Reviewer, Department Administrator
Update to the business process notifications for Termination and End Additional Job. Notifications now include the worker’s name, business title, supervisory organization and manager.
FIN230330.01 – Expense Report Auditing through Appzen for Main Campus (excluding GUQ) and University Services
Impacted Roles: Designated Expense Report Auditors in Appzen for Main Campus and University Services
Expense Reports for Main Campus (excluding GUQ) and University Services route through Appzen for risk based auditing. The initial pilot for risk based Expense Report auditing through Appzen is expanded to include Main Campus. Designated employees by cluster are also given access to audit reports in Appzen that are segmented for their specific school(s).
