What’s New in GMS – April 16, 2018

Posted in News Story

Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of April 16, 2018.

HCM Update

HCM180416.01 – Payroll Accounting Adjustment Update

Impacted Roles: GU-Effort Certification Coordinator, Payroll Services Team, US Payroll Partner

The Create Payroll Accounting Adjustment (PAA) business process was updated to include a new validation rule.  If a proposed journal line on a PAA includes Fund 1802, the same journal line must include a corresponding Grant worktag, otherwise the PAA cannot be submitted.  If users experience this validation rule, the corrective action is to review the proposed journal lines and either add a Grant worktag to the line that includes Fund 1802 or to propose a different fund.

HCM180416.02 – Contact Information Update

Impacted Roles: Academic HR Partner, Employment and Recruitment Specialist, HR Contact, Student Employment Reviewer

The ability to modify work email addresses within GMS has been removed from all roles. This is because the work email field is fed into GMS from the NetID system, which is the system of record for email addresses.

HCM180416.03 – New Compensation Grade Available

Impacted Roles: Compensation Analyst, HR Contact

A new compensation grade for Qatar Temporary workers called QT is now available. This new grade includes the QT.Salary and QT.Hourly compensation grade profiles.
