What’s New in GMS – August 28, 2017

Posted in News Story

Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of August 28th, 2017.

HCM Updates

HCM170828.01 – Voluntary Disclosure Text

As part of the Onboarding, Change My Personal Information, and External Job Application business processes, the requests for workers to voluntarily disclose personal data, including race/ethnicity, nationality, gender, and disability information has been updated.

The updates were provided by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA). For directions on how to provide the personal information, or to learn more about this request, please contact IDEAA or consult their website.

HCM170828.02 – Add Additional Job Business Process – Allow Exception to Grade Minimum

To allow for the assignment of additional jobs to workers without compensation the Add Additional Job business process was modified so that a hard stop error is no longer produced when an Add Additional Job transaction is submitted without a compensation plan. All Add Additional Job transactions route to the Compensation Analyst for review, so anything inappropriately below the minimum salary range will be identified manually and sent back for adjustment.
