Please be aware of the following recent updates to GMS processes, job aids or reports as of May 6, 2019.  

GMS Update

GMS190506.01 – Assign Roles Business Process Live in GMS

Impacted Roles: Finance Campus Representative, HCM Campus Representative, HCM Role Requester, Finance Role Requester, HR Data Steward, Finance Data Steward, Benefits Data Steward, SER Data Steward, SFS-Q Campus Representative, GU University Treasurer, Controller, GU Budget Manager, AVP Procurement & AP Data Steward

The assign roles business process is now live in GMS. The role request process will now take place entirely in GMS, and a help desk ticket is no longer required. This new process provides significant improvements in processing, tracking and auditing role changes. For more information please visit the GMS Role Request section of the GMS website (new window).

Impacted Roles: Finance Campus Representative, HCM Campus Representative, HCM Role Requester, Finance Role Requester, HR Data Steward, Finance Data Steward, Benefits Data Steward, SER Data Steward, SFS-Q Campus Representative, GU University Treasurer, Controller, GU Budget Manager, AVP Procurement & AP Data Steward, HR Contact, Department Administrator, CFO, Finance Partner

Newly created “GU Role Assignment Requests” report to monitor the status of submitted role assignment requests.

Financials Update

FIN190506.01 – Facilities Two-Way Matching

Impacted Roles: GU-Capital Project Manager, GU-Capital Project Director, GU-Capital Transaction Reviewer

Capital Construction Project transactions will no longer require receipts on the Purchase Order. Matching will be done on the Purchase Order and Invoice.
